Life & Performance Coaching

You've built the life
everyone told you
to want. Now what?

Something isn't adding up. You're capable, accomplished — and quietly exhausted by how inauthentic it all feels. That's not a crisis. That's a beginning.

My work is to help you figure out where you want to go and how to get there.
Who I work with

Two very different places.
One common thread.

01
High-Functioning Professionals

You've achieved what you set out to achieve. It's just not inspiring.

You perform well by every external measure. But you're uninspired. You're bored. You're going through the motions. With this realization, you just might be ready for change.

For Professionals
02
Young Adults

You have more potential than structure. That changes now.

You feel the gap between where you are and where you sense you could be. The overwhelm is real. So is the possibility. What you need isn't motivation — it's a map.

For Young Adults
The shift

Before and after
this work.

Successful on paper, restless in private

Clear, energized, genuinely motivated

Knowing what to do, doing none of it

Intention and action that align

Capable but directionless

A concrete path forward that's yours

Performing a version of yourself

Showing up as who you actually are

Waiting to feel ready

Moving — because staying costs too much

About Julie

I spent decades teaching people to read between the lines.

As a high school literature teacher, I learned something that shaped everything I do now: what a person says is rarely the whole story. The real signal is in the hesitation, the word chosen instead of another, the silence at the end of a sentence.

That instinct is the foundation of my coaching. I notice what others miss. And then I ask the question that opens the door.

About Julie

I became a coach because I couldn't stop seeing possibility everywhere.

After decades in education, I realized I'd been coaching all along — I just hadn't called it that yet.

Working with Julie has been genuinely transformative. — Dawn D., former client

I spent decades standing at the front of a high school classroom, teaching literature — and what I was really teaching was how to read people, situations, and context. I noticed who was holding something back. I noticed the student who answered every question confidently but flinched when the topic touched home.

That skill didn't go away when I left teaching. It sharpened. And eventually, I couldn't ignore the fact that what I was most naturally drawn to wasn't the curriculum — it was the human beings trying to figure themselves out inside it.

Coaching was the natural next chapter. And I approach it with a deep curiosity for what's actually going on beneath the surface of a conversation.

I believe most people already know what they need to do. My work is to create the conditions where that knowledge can surface — and then build the structure and accountability that makes acting on it possible.

My coaching philosophy.

I work from a belief that you are not a problem to be solved. You are a person trying to live with more integrity, more energy, and more of yourself in the room. My job is not to give you answers. It's to ask the questions that make the answers unavoidable.

If this resonates,
I'd like to hear from you.

Discernment matters

This work is not
for everyone.

The coaching relationship only works when both parties are ready for it. I work with people who are serious, self-aware, and genuinely committed to change.

I'm probably not the right fit if you:

Want someone to validate decisions already made
Expect transformation with minimal effort
Want a weekly pep talk, not accountability
Aren't willing to be honest about where you are

I work with people ready to:

Sit with discomfort long enough to understand it
Tell the truth — especially when it's inconvenient
Take action between sessions, not just during them
Invest seriously in themselves

If you're still reading,
you're probably ready.

The application is ten minutes. The change is permanent. Take the first step.

For Professionals

You're not struggling.
You're stuck.

You know something important has gone missing — and you're tired of pretending it hasn't.

There's a particular exhaustion that comes from being good at something that no longer feels like you. You've built the career, made the moves, hit the numbers — and somewhere in the process, the thing that made you want to do it has gone dormant.

That feeling in your body is a signal. The question is whether you're ready to take it seriously.

Most high-performing professionals I work with aren't failing. They're succeeding in ways that stopped mattering. What coaching offers isn't a career strategy session. It's something rarer: an honest reckoning with what you actually want, followed by a disciplined plan to pursue it.

We'll look at where your energy goes and what it returns. Together we'll build toward something that isn't just professionally viable — but genuinely yours.

Clarity on what's actually wrong

We'll work together to identify what is authentic for you.

Direction that's yours, not borrowed

We build a future based on your unique strengths, values, and blind spots: a map drawn just for you.

Momentum that compounds

We work with real accountability structures that close the gap between knowing and doing.

Permission to want something different

Often the biggest obstacle isn't just strategy; it's acknowledging what you really want.

The next step

You've waited long enough
to take this seriously.

For Young Adults

The pressure is real.
So is the possibility.

You have more potential than structure: more ambition than direction. What you need isn't more advice — it's someone who can help you build the structure that makes all the rest possible.

The gap between where you are and where you sense you could be isn't a character flaw. Left unaddressed, it becomes the story you tell yourself.

I work with college students and young professionals who are overwhelmed not by lack of ability, but by lack of structure and clarity.

We'll build your capacity to follow through — not through willpower, but through self-understanding. You'll learn how you actually work: when you're most effective, what gets in your way, and what you need to get things moving.

Confidence isn't something I give you. It comes from the small, consistent practice of doing what you said you were going to do. We build that together, deliberately, over time.

Structure that fits how you actually work

Not a productivity system you abandon in two weeks. We collaborate to understand your rhythms, patterns, and needs.

Direction, not just options

When you have clarity about what matters to you, the overwhelming number of possibilities are manageable.

Accountability with muscle

I remember what you say, ask about it, and won't let you off the hook with a good excuse.

Confidence built on evidence

Not affirmations. We help you build a track record. We grow the proof that you can rely on yourself — one commitment at a time.

Testimonials

What clients say.

In their own words.

Working with Julie has been genuinely transformative. She has a practical, grounded approach that makes every conversation feel purposeful. What stands out most is her ability to ask insightful questions that gently uncover what's really going on and help you see possibilities you hadn't seen before. She's supportive without being fluffy, direct without being harsh, and always focused on real changes with accountability. I'm grateful for the impact she's had on my life and I sincerely encourage anyone considering coaching to work with her.
Dawn D.  ·  Boston, MA
Having just graduated from Brown University in May, Julie provided the space and guidance I needed to navigate the job search process and clarify what I wanted from this first step in my career. Through our work together, I gained confidence in myself and my resourcefulness, and I fully embraced the space Julie created each week to reflect on my progress. Our coaching sessions offered both clarity and accountability, two elements I think are so important to the networking and job search journeys. Julie is a compassionate, insightful listener who brings genuine curiosity and care to her clients. Her thoughtful observations helped me understand my own patterns and become more effective and at peace with myself throughout the process. By the end of our three months together, I had received an offer for a full-time job.

Julie has been the missing link between me and my son, creating a bridge that allows me to better understand and support him without adding pressure. Her thoughtful coaching goes beyond academics, helping him build confidence, develop effective study habits, and engage more meaningfully with his learning. The growth we've seen over the past months, both in his performance and in who he is becoming, speaks to the depth and care she brings to her work.
